After graduating from the University of Florida, Mark enjoyed a career in marketing and sales at various international airlines. With a proven background in sales, Mark pivoted his career to selling homes and, for over 20 years, has represented buyers and sellers throughout Los Angeles. Mark began his real estate career in Beverly Hills in 2003 representing clients throughout Los Angeles to the Hollywood Hills before moving to South Pasadena in 2007 and expanding his real estate market to South Pasadena, Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino and beyond.
Mark’s international background has influenced him both professionally and personally. As a teenager, he lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and attended a boarding school in Salzburg, Austria. During college, Mark received a scholarship to study in Mannheim, Germany. Mark is fluent in German and holds dual American and German citizenship. Having earned a master’s in international business, Mark brings a professional understanding to the business of real estate, including expertise in marketing, finance, and economics. Mark is passionate about home design and restoration as well as architecture and travel.
Working with an international clientele throughout his career, Mark particularly enjoys connecting with people from many backgrounds and cultures. Strategic thinking, patience, and perseverance, coupled with a focus on understanding clients’ particular needs, has helped ensure that the sellers he represents maximize their return on investment while his buyers can secure the home of their dreams. Mark’s proven abilities to negotiate the sale terms and price on the purchase of a home benefits all his buyers. Helping his sellers reach their desired terms on even the toughest points of negotiation, while staying positive, is his approach in maintaining a success-oriented mindset.
Mark recognizes that achieving client satisfaction goes beyond the pure financial aspect of the sale, so he takes the time to understand his clients’ overall needs and long-term goals related to the lifestyle they seek and the real estate they want. Over the years, Mark has represented clients in the sale and purchase of properties built by prominent architects. These architects include JH Parks, Michael B. Lehrer, Garrett Van Pelt, GL Stimson, Bob Ray Offenhauser, Wallace Neff, Marston & Maybury, and most recently Roland E. Coate.
As a homeowner in South Pasadena, Mark is active in the community and has served on various local boards.
